Connecting Distributed Generation

This website is designed to help customers, installers and developers who wish to connect generation to the ScottishPower distribution networks. SP Distribution and SP Manweb own and operate the high and low voltage networks within the licensed areas of Southern Scotland and Merseyside/North Wales respectively.

This site provides information on the process that allows a generator to be connected to the distribution network. We provide a simple means of obtaining appropriate guidance as well as providing indicative maps of the distribution networks showing connection opportunities. Further guidance and documentation is provided as well as clear guidance on the variety of methods of seeking further information or submitting an application for connection.
